Most likely you are using a file system that has wrong module dependency
info. I saw this error when I tried to insmod from a MontaVista CEE3.1
file system which has module info. The insmod worked fine after I have
switched to a file system that doesn't have module info.

Regards,
Jian

Hi
That's because you used linux 2.4 modules utilities. To fix this problem
is to use
Linux 2.6 modules utilities. You can copy the moduitilities from 2.6
files system or
Use tools to generate them such as busybox 1.01 and later version.

Regards,

Minjie
