I have the 1 port ethernet card HP HSC J3515A in a D270
which gave similar errors under 2.4.20-pa35 and 2.4.22-pa7.
It works fine with the latest kernel vmlinux-2.6.0-test6-pa6-32.
Thanks for all the hard work,
John
