Sorry for not speaking up sooner, but if you don't want to include
that mass of command line options above, I generally check which
toolchain has been used to produce a binary via:
$ readelf --string-dump=.comment <foo>
which may be more concise, but sometimes we strip out the `.comment`
section from binaries.
