Subject: [RFC PATCH v4 4/9] smp, cpu hotplug: Fix on_each_cpu_*() to prevent CPU offline properly
Date: Tue, 11 Dec 2012 19:34:56 +0530	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <20121211140454.23621.7165.stgit@srivatsabhat.in.ibm.com> (raw)
In-Reply-To: <20121211140314.23621.64088.stgit@srivatsabhat.in.ibm.com>

Once stop_machine() is gone from the CPU offline path, we won't be able to
depend on preempt_disable() to prevent CPUs from going offline from under us.

Use the get/put_online_cpus_atomic() APIs to prevent CPUs from going offline,
while invoking from atomic context.
