From mboxrd@z Thu Jan 1 00:00:00 1970 From: NeilBrown Subject: [PATCH 003 of 5] md: Expose the degraded status of an assembled array through sysfs Date: Mon, 15 Oct 2007 14:34:37 +1000 Message-ID: <1071015043437.5489@suse.de> References: <20071015143136.5200.patches@notabene> Return-path: Sender: linux-raid-owner@vger.kernel.org To: Andrew Morton Cc: linux-raid@vger.kernel.org, linux-kernel@vger.kernel.org, Iustin Pop List-Id: linux-raid.ids From: Iustin Pop The 'degraded' attribute is useful to quickly determine if the array is degraded, instead of parsing 'mdadm -D' output or relying on the other techniques (number of working devices against number of defined devices, etc.). The md code already keeps track of this attribute, so it's useful to export it.
