SAS controller: Serial ATA Tunneling Protocol (STP) is used, this can have an impact on performance 3. Hardware RAID controller: depending on the controller, performance impact can be from low to very high Regards, Werner > > > Best, > > -- > Tom De Mulder - Cambridge University Computing Service > +44 1223 3 31843 - New Museums Site, Pembroke Street, Cambridge CB2 3QH > -> 18/07/2011 : The Moon is Waning Gibbous (83% of Full) > -- > To unsubscribe from this list: send the line "unsubscribe linux-raid" in > the body of a message to majordomo@vger.kernel.org > More majordomo info at http://vger.kernel.org/majordomo-info.html -- : Werner Fischer : Technology Specialist : Thomas-Krenn.AG | The server-experts : http://www.thomas-krenn.com | http://www.thomas-krenn.com/wiki
