Thank you for the reply. I read that in the howto, but feared it would destroy my data. As the mkraid manpage says, "... destroys all of the data on the consituent devices." I read the message, and am about to use the secret flag, but I want to be sure. This will not simply wipe out my data? This will only resync my two good drives? Sorry to be such a coward...just trying to be sure of what I'm doing. Thanks again, Monty
