Subject: [PATCH RT 6/8] fs, jbd: pull your plug when waiting for space
Date: Thu, 12 Jul 2012 19:18:33 -0400 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <20120712231956.965653507@goodmis.org> (raw)
In-Reply-To: 20120712231827.084920483@goodmis.org
[-- Attachment #1: 0006-fs-jbd-pull-your-plug-when-waiting-for-space.patch --]
[-- Type: text/plain, Size: 1002 bytes --]
From: Mike Galbraith <mgalbraith@suse.de>
With an -rt kernel, and a heavy sync IO load, tasks can jam
up on journal locks without unplugging, which can lead to
terminal IO starvation. Unplug and schedule when waiting for space.
