Subject: [patch -rt 2/2] KVM: lapic: mark LAPIC timer handler as irqsafe
Date: Wed, 21 Jan 2015 18:36:02 -0200 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <20150121203744.531852537@redhat.com> (raw)
In-Reply-To: 20150121203600.745949083@redhat.com
[-- Attachment #1: kvm-lapic-irqsafe --]
[-- Type: text/plain, Size: 2813 bytes --]
Since lapic timer handler only wakes up a simple waitqueue,
it can be executed from hardirq context.
Also handle the case where hrtimer_start_expires fails due to -ETIME,
by injecting the interrupt to the guest immediately.
Reduces average cyclictest latency by 3us.
