Why trim the cc line?
Well, a complicating factor is that some of us post in ways that Google
does not archive & index.
And another complicating factor is that some of us sometimes don't
clearly receive attachments and email addresses mixed with names e.g. I
confused ibm.com with ibm.co and I didn't notice that last kern.log.usb
attachment from Dmitri here til I forwarded this message to myself.
But apart from all that, we have the recent history:

I see sometimes indeed we do trim cc lines.
Personally I'm too much of a newbie to have a clue when we do and when
we do not.
