Also here now I'm correctly substituting @us.ibm.com for @us.ibm.co Next I will reply substantively, but only to: Dmitri Katchalov, cc: linux-scsi. Why trim the cc line? Well, a complicating factor is that some of us post in ways that Google does not archive & index. And another complicating factor is that some of us sometimes don't clearly receive attachments and email addresses mixed with names e.g. I confused ibm.com with ibm.co and I didn't notice that last kern.log.usb attachment from Dmitri here til I forwarded this message to myself. But apart from all that, we have the recent history: > Subject: Re: [usb-storage] mode sense blacklist how > > > > From: Pat LaVarre ... > > > ... > > > I think I'm seeing hints that possibly > > > we've carried this reply-to-all convention > > > a little too far by now. Yes, thank you for continuing our investigation, yes I still do want to learn more here. > Subject: Re: [usb-storage] Re: [PATCH] fix Sony USB mass storage - pass larger receive buffer > From: Patrick Mansfield ... > [Trimmed the cc line] I see sometimes indeed we do trim cc lines. Personally I'm too much of a newbie to have a clue when we do and when we do not. Pat LaVarre
