Starting with kernel 2.6.13, my system crashes immediately reading from
one of my two Nakamichi MJ-5.16S SCSI CD changers. For info on this

Sorry, this pdf is in japanese only. It's a CD changer that takes 5 CD's
and loads the cd by opening the device that corresponds to the LUN.
It has 1 SCSI ID and 5 LUNs.

It happens always and immediately when I mount a data CD, or when I rip 
an audio CD.
Oops data has to be captured from a serial console.

Until Kernel 2.6.12, everything was fine. Problem still is there in 
2.6.15-rc6.

I'm using Fedora Core 4 x86_64 on a dual core Athlon 64 x2 4400+

A couple of days ago, I mailed a bug report with this subject to this list.
When it arrived back, it was caught by spamassassin on our mailserver.
Somehow, the patterns used in the kernel config, dmesg, oops and
/proc/scsi/scsi output triggered spamassassin.

Does that mean that my message does not get to the right people?
Should I resend it with all the details in an attached zip file?

The oops that I previously posted occured when I tried to read a data CD
or rip an audio CD. But I also got random lockups, only when logged into
the console. These stopped now I disconnected the SCSI CD changers.

Maybe this was Gnome trying to figure whether a CD has been inserted.

It appears this bug is related to the Adaptec AHA-3960D HBA. I temporarily
replaced it with an LSI Logic 53C875E based card using the sym53c8xx
driver and all was fine.

Unfortunately, this did not help me, as I need the Adaptec's dual channels.
