Subject: mpt2sas_cm0: unable to map adapter memory! or resource not found
Date: Thu, 29 Sep 2016 14:02:40 -0700 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <be712b49-a000-4f6c-d332-146b6b605569@gmail.com> (raw)
Hi all,
Trying to get a LSI SAS 9200-8e adapter to work on an old Dell SC1435
server, mpt3sas returns the following:
[ 1442.404496] mpt3sas version 12.100.00.00 loaded
[ 1442.408820] mpt2sas_cm0: 64 BIT PCI BUS DMA ADDRESSING SUPPORTED,
total mem (33011820 kB)
[ 1442.408829] mpt2sas_cm0: unable to map adapter memory! or resource
not found
[ 1442.415740] mpt2sas_cm0: failure at
/build/linux-R0TiM8/linux-4.4.0/drivers/scsi/mpt3sas/mpt3sas_scsih.c:8800/_scsih_probe()!
This is Ubuntu 16.04, but 4.8 returns essentially the same error.
Here is the verbose lspci output for this adapter, the Region 1/3
ignored seems a little worrying here, but I am not sure what I could try
to force the BIOS/Linux to try to re-assign these regions differently?
Thanks!
