This reverts commit 048be431e4 (sh-sci / PM: Avoid deadlocking runtime
PM, from Rafael J. Wysocki <rjw@sisk.pl>, 2012-03-09).
In order to get console PM work properly, we should implement uart_ops
->pm() operation, rather than sprinkle band-ading runtime PM calls in
the driver.

Here are sh-sci serial driver fixes that have been cooking for months
privately on my end:
* rework console PM with the help of serial-core's uart_change_pm()
* provide missing piece in SCIFB support (from Yoshii-san)
* address console write function vs. SMP lockup issue
and so on. Comments and suggestions are welcome.
Build tested with vanilla v3.6, but not boot- nor PM-tested with
newer kernels after v3.4. Anyone with can-sleep shmobile systems,
please give it try.

Thanks very much for taking the time to do this. I'm away from the office
today but will test it on Monday. I have been given the go-ahead to spend a
small amount of time to see if I can get the DSC card working for our case;
with this patch as a starting point I think progress will be made.

Yes - except possibly if autoconfig changes the port type.
It may in fact be sufficient to set it in serial8250_config_port after
autoconfig has run. There are far too many different init paths in this

First guess at what you need except for the RS422 registers is attached. To
get the RS422 features working needs the tool tracing (or driver printks adding)
to see what QMCR and QOPR bits map to which RS422 features.
Given that if you just force the bits you want in with the RS422 warning I expect
it'll just work for your case and should then be trivial to add the ioctl.

I don't get error messages with your latest patch but the CPU freezes
after it has received first byte. Freezing happens only if flow control
(and of course DMA) is enabled. Sending data doesn't freeze the CPU. Are
you able to send data without freezing?
I used busybox's microcom to transfer data.

Traditionally console support is optional for serial drivers. This
makes it non optional for the i.MX driver since it's not worth
asking questions for a feature virtually every user of this driver
wants to have.
