It totaly freezes. I'm running: Slackware 8.1, Linux 2.4.18, XFree 4.2.0 on my BP6 with an ATI mach64 card, using the "ati" driver. I get b/w xinit-screen. Then nothing happends. I can go to console, but when I kill the process (kill -9, ctrl-z, reboot, whatever) the computer freezes. The only diffrence between my kernels are that I run with SMP when the computer freezes up. Any ideas what my problem might be? karl
