From mboxrd@z Thu Jan 1 00:00:00 1970 From: Ken and Kara Plaks Subject: io-apic error message Date: Fri, 07 Feb 2003 09:02:44 -0800 Sender: linux-smp-owner@vger.kernel.org Message-ID: <3E43E6B4.7010108@lvcm.com> Mime-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: multipart/mixed; boundary="------------040704070008020406080308" Return-path: List-Id: To: linux-smp@vger.kernel.org This is a multi-part message in MIME format. --------------040704070008020406080308 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii; format=flowed Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit My kernel said to drop you guys a line. I am experiencing random computer lock ups. Sometimes the computer runs fine, sometimes, it crashes. I haven't noticed a pattern when it crashes. Nothing in /var/log/messages that I understand at least tells me why, it just freezes. Could this io-apic thing be why? I'm running mdk 90 kernel 2.4.19-24enterprise. Hardware is an elitegroup motherboard with via vt8233 north/southbridge chipset. Any help appreciated!
