Subject: Unexpected IO-APIC in 2.4.21, 2.4.22-rc2

My IO-APIC is not recognized by 2.4.21 and 2.4.22-rc2, and the error
message instructs me to report this. The kernel works OK only with the
boot parameter "noapic". I have enclosed the dmesg output of both kernels.

The computer is a Medion 8008, sold by the German discount chain ALDI in
large quantities in March this year.

Regards,

Oliver Schoett
