My sound card is Creative SB 128 PCI, using es1371 kernel module. There are no error messages in logs or dmesg. I tried playing some mp3 files using xmms, but all I get is strange distorted beeps. What's even stranger, the xmms time display was not displaying seconds, it stayed at 0:00 for a long time.. I tried using 'play' on some wav files, the output was the same. I tried ALSA drivers also (switched using harddrake), but it did not help at all.. The sound card works OK with windows on the same machine, and it was working on previous linux that I had, that was RH 7.0. What could be the problem? Thanks.. michael
