(the only thing left to figure out). It's current config under windows 98 is I/O 220, IRQ 5, DMA 1 (for 8bit) and DMA 5 (for 16 bit). in Xwindows I run sndconfig, it detects it, everything looks ok, sndconfig goes to play the test sound, it comes up with a sndprobe error. I have tried to fiddle with the setting on the card, but don't have to many options since this machine is stuffed with other hardware. any ideas would be appreciated. -Mike
