Subject: Anyone got the SB Live working???
Date: Sun, 28 Mar 1999 14:06:06 +0000 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <marc-linux-sound-92265645206561@msgid-missing> (raw)
Ich have the pleasure of enjoying the sound quality of a Soundblaster Live!.
But that only under M$ Windows NT.
Since I want to completely switch to Linux (the only thing holding me back
is this problem) I would like to get the card to work under Linux. I have
tried to compile a kernel with the SB16 drives and the correct settings. The
compile was fine, but there was no sound. I am either using kernel 2.2.3 or
2.0.36. The problem I have is that I can't include the complete I/O range
that the card uses (or I don't know how). If someone could tell me how to
include a range from the PCI slot, that might help me. If someone has found
an easier way to get the card to work I would be happy to know.
Well thanx ahead,
Martin Adler
