Message-Id: List-Id: MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii" Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit To: linux-sound@vger.kernel.org Hi: If this is the wrong list for the following question, would someone please let me know the correct forum in which to ask it. I am using the 2.0.36 kernel with a SoundBlaster AWE64 card. When the sound level is very low I can hear quite a noticeable flickering. It is as though some channel within the card is quickly toggling on and off as the instantaneous signal level hovers just above and just below some threshold. This does not happen on Win95, so I'm wondering if it has something to do with the card's default configuration and/or Linux's method of initializing it. Does anyone know what might be behind this problem, and what I might do to solve it?
