'alsaplayer'
Pretty damn good ... just installed it today, can also play files as well
as do other output conversions like mp3, etc.
'dynamix' or 'project dynamic'
allows dumping to DSP as well as file (as raw data), allows real time
playing with time code for nonlinear tracking (which is also recorded
real time), as well as what I believe was the first app to let cd's play
backwards. It is a bit difficult to compile and only works with ATAPI
(ide) drives as far as I know.
