Ok, after a week of trying anything and everything its time to seek help.
No matter what I do I cannot make the record device linein, it is stuck on
mic, and no matter what software/kernel I try I can't change it. The only
time it does switch is if I use ALSA, this would be fine if in fact
realproducer supported ALSA which it doesn't. If anyone can provide me with
some insight it would be more than appreciated, I've got deadlines to meet
and there are currently 30 machine with this smae problem.
