This is a series of patches to fix some trivial checkpatch issues. Not all
issues have been fixed. I intend to submit another series to fix more stuff.

Testing:
* Build the module
* Boot the kernel with busybox in initramfs
* Load the module
-> No errors or warnings

Fix the following checkpatch space issues:
- CHECK: spaces preferred around that '*' (ctx:VxV)
- CHECK: spaces preferred around that '+' (ctx:VxV)
- CHECK: spaces preferred around that '-' (ctx:VxV)
- CHECK: spaces preferred around that '|' (ctx:VxV)
- CHECK: No space is necessary after a cast
- WARNING: please, no spaces at the start of a line

How good does such a change combination fit to the known requirement
“Solve only one problem per patch.”?

Will it be a bit safer to provide corresponding source code adjustments separately
according to their message types?

I guess that this misplaced marker line should be deleted at this place
for all update steps in your small patch series.

Please do not comment on staging driver changes anymore, it is not
helpful to anyone involved.

We stumbled on recurring communication difficulties for a while.

I got other impressions for my patch review approaches and further change suggestions
for various software components.

Am I supposed to adjust something here?
As far as I understood, I can ignore the comments from Markus, correct?

There are possibilities remaining to handle recurring communication difficulties
in more constructive ways for some hints.

Would the provided technical information be taken better into account
if it would be presented by any other contributors?

That's not my point, I appreciate feedback from anybody, absolutely no question
on that. I'm just struggling to know what I'm supposed to do when the maintainer
is saying somebody's comments are not helpful.
In another thread I was told I should mainly follow the maintainers comments in
case of different opinions.

I would wait some more. Greg is probably just too busy to take your patches at

Don't let that slows you down though, work on other patches in the mean time if
you would like to.

Correct. Just ignore Markus.

I suggest to take another look at the circumstances and corresponding
background information.
I would appreciate if the involved communication factors can be reconsidered
any more.

Which impressions do you get from my previous contributions so far?

Example:
https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/torvalds/linux.git/log/?qt=grep&q=Elfring

I imagine that my recent review comments can eventually influence
the “beautification” another bit for subsequent patches.

Markus

Everyone please note, Markus has been banned from most kernel mailing
lists, and should just be ignored by all patch submitters at this time.
Please don't treat his review comments as relevant, they are not.

thanks,

I guess that the involved communication factors are becoming more interesting
for further clarifications.

Some participants might occasionally find provided information undesirable.
Another fraction of contributors can pick corresponding change suggestions
still up in constructive ways.

The expressed desire for “ignorance” has got a questionable risk.
Some proposals and ideas would eventually not be integrated just because
of the way (my) contribution reputation evolved through the years.
Thus the same advices can get better chances for integration
(if they would be presented by other persons), can't they?

Regards,
Markus

I hope that this ban can still be reconsidered.

There are contributors who are still more open to presented information and ideas.

I find such a response questionable.

It seems that it indicates a special change refusal because of
some communication factors.
The awareness for the relevance of some advices can occasionally evolve
also in more desirable directions, can't they?

Markus

At this point in time, sorry, but no.
