Since this series will miss this kernel again I've taken this patch
into the iommufd tree to fix the broken selftest.

It needed two edits to make it work out of the context of this series

The core code still requires empty free functions:

Otherwise it works the same and solves the same problem. There is a
small merge conflict with the fixes in Joerg's tree around the
bus_iommu_probe
