Jeff, since the UML changes to the shmem.c code are currently unused, just to 
make sure, can you remove them from the patch, so that we can make sure? They 
are, actually, the devanon patch.

Or even you, D. Bahi?

Go reading the devanon patch on the site to understand exactly what to do 
(apart little rejects, it should probably be possible to reverse that patch). 
If you did the backporting to the 2.4.20 correctly (which can also be in 
doubt, since there is a bug - please don't get me wrong, I don't want to 
criticize you personally), you should be able to do it.

Be careful, because the changes are not insulated inside shmem.c: the addition 
of ->munmap inside <linux/fs.h>, all the references to it, the changes to 
shmem_fs.h... and maybe something else.
