PPC is currently waiting for resurrection... even some attempts to do so, but
I don't know of anybody running it currently. There was the press release
from some society time ago, but to my knowledge they didn't release
anything...

Yes, that's true... nobody maintaining them, unfortunately.
Another site is the Wiki (uml.harlowhill.com IIRC - there links on my
homepage).

Regular kernels contain up-to-date UML. I issue releases to ship new bugfixes
or some little extra functions...
