Subject: [uml-devel] make oldconfig asks every time for the 3 new options
Date: Sat, 3 Mar 2012 09:52:32 +0100	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <201203030952.33510.toralf.foerster@gmx.de> (raw)

I'm at this level :

$ git describe
v3.3-rc5-204-gae942ae

using old uml linux exe to generate a .config :

$ /usr/local/bin/linux-v3.3-rc5-204-gae942ae --showconfig > .config

and being ask every time for these 3 options:

$ make oldconfig ARCH=um
scripts/kconfig/conf --oldconfig arch/x86/um/Kconfig
*
* Restart config...
*
*
* Misc devices
*
Enclosure Services (ENCLOSURE_SERVICES) [N/y/?] (NEW) N
*
* Silicon Labs C2 port support (EXPERIMENTAL)
*
Silicon Labs C2 port support (EXPERIMENTAL) (C2PORT) [N/y/?] (NEW) N
*
* EEPROM support
*
EEPROM 93CX6 support (EEPROM_93CX6) [N/y/?] (NEW) N
*
* Texas Instruments shared transport line discipline
*
*
* Altera FPGA firmware download module
*
#
# configuration written to .config
#

I'm wondering why this happens only for these 3 options since this release
and not always before for all other not-set parameter.
