Subject: patch "thunderbolt: make tb_bus_type const" added to usb-next
Date: Thu, 21 Dec 2023 09:45:24 +0100 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <2023122124-revert-scolding-6655@gregkh> (raw)
This is a note to let you know that I've just added the patch titled
thunderbolt: make tb_bus_type const
to my usb git tree which can be found at
git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/gregkh/usb.git
in the usb-next branch.
The patch will show up in the next release of the linux-next tree
(usually sometime within the next 24 hours during the week.)
The patch will also be merged in the next major kernel release
during the merge window.
If you have any questions about this process, please let me know.

Subject: thunderbolt: make tb_bus_type const
Now that the driver core can properly handle constant struct bus_type,
move the tb_bus_type variable to be a constant structure as well,
placing it into read-only memory which can not be modified at runtime.
