All,
The wifi-test project is raised by Intel with a goal to deliver test suites
to opensource community that validates linux wireless drivers. wifi-test
1.0 covers following wireless features:
+ BSS: BSS association, fragmentation/RTS/CTS, BSS channels etc
+ IBSS: IBSS association, IBSS fragmentation/RTS/CTS, IBSS channels.
+ Security: WEP (BSS/IBSS), WPA/WPA2, 802.1X.
+ Power management: S3/S4, RFKILL
+ Performance: upload/download speed for different combinations.
+ Others: Wext mode, nl80211 mode
+ 802.11 a/b/g/n: Above features in a/b/g/n band.

Thank you guys so much for this, I just reviewed it and it seems you
do need some AP with remote login, a bit overkill for end users but I
hope it'll prove valuable for our own testing as well.
Are you interested in receiving patches for simple end user tests
against an AP with no login?
BTW I've created a wiki page for this here:
http://wireless.kernel.org/en/developers/Testing/wifi-test
Can we instead rely on a wiki instead of a static page that only a few
have access to?

No, not necessarily. I was suggesting that an openwrt API might be
a good target for your test setup. They are more commonly available
than "enterprisey" stuff from Cisco. :-)
