Ubuntu 13.04 is using a 3.8 kernel. We'll be using 3.11 in the 13.10 release, which is due out this month. If you don't want to install a newer kernel yourself you can either update to the 13.10 beta [1] or use the backports project to get drivers from later kernels [2].
