I'm still fighting with my PCI card.
It used to work but I guess the hardware could have died.

It won't get an IP from lbuntu network manager.

Does anyone have any ideas?
I guess one of my next steps is to find a Windows box to try it with.

What does
ath: timeout (100000 us) on reg 0x9c20: 0x00000000 & 0x00000001 !=
0x00000001
ath: Could not kill baseband RX
from dmesg mean?
