This is slightly confusing because the CEPT document lists 46 countries.
> Add 6 GHz frequency entry if not being added yet.
Please add the links to [2][3] to all of them. And could you also add
the link to the other countries that already have a 6 GHz entry? Just
so we know that they are harmonized.

^ entries

As in, no entry in the database exists?
Probably rewrite this as:
The following are skipped as they do not have corresponding entries in
the database yet. Adding an entry just for 6 GHz would cause 2.4 GHz and
5 GHz bands from the world domain to stop working.
Thanks

As the (force/preferred) date mentioned in ECC/DEC/(20)01, I think
CEPT countries should
implement 6 GHz regulation, but to be conservative, I only add
countries listed in
Wi-Fi Alliance.

Did you want me filling all CEPT countries with 6 GHz entry or only
listed countries in this commit message?
I'd prefer latter one. Please let me know your thinking. Thank you.

Thanks for the advice.

Only listed ones then. However, if you do notice any of the other CEPT
countries already have 6 GHz enabled, please add it as well.

I will do it.
Usually our RF team tell me they get certificated from lab (e.g. SGS)
for certain
countries, which should have defined regulation rules, but they don't share a
internet public link as references, so I can't make a patch right away
until I find
an official reference.

I see.
I will drop this for now then, unless Ping-Ke has any more information
on this?
Thanks

What I can find is a consultation [1] on May this year. It needs some
time to have decision then.

Hi All,
One query with respect to adding EIRP values (or max power) in the database.
As per draft regulations, max EIRP across different channel bandwidth will differ in 6 GHz band.
Like, in 20 MHz channel bandwidth, max allowed EIRP will be 18 dBm whereas for 320 MHz channel, the max allowed EIRP will be 30 dBm.
How we can add this info in the wireless regdb ? Apologies if i am missing something.
Regards,
Gaurav Kansal

That is basically spelling out the PSD restrictions that other regulations
describe in terms of dBm/MHz.
> How we can add this info in the wireless regdb ? Apologies if i am missing something.
Unfortunately the database format does not support this, so we are limited
to only adding the lowest limit.
Last I asked, the kernel has a PSD field, but it doesn't really do anything
with it. And internally I asked folks working with WiFi to ask our partners,
and they seem to handle PSD restrictions within their firmware.
