intel wifi 5100 (iwlagn) authentication timed out

Hi,
I have problem connecting to my router with iwlagn driver installed. I'm using
WPA-PSK but also with no encryption set I wasn't able to connect. When trying to
connect this message comes out repeatedly: "wlan0: authentication with AP
00:4f:6a:00:5e:ef timed out"

Here is the part of output:

Sorry was in hurry and forgot to add.

I'm using OpenSuse 11.0 "uname -a":
Linux dodes-nb 2.6.25.5-1.1-default #1 SMP 2008-06-07 01:55:22 +0200 x86_64
x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

I'm using compat-wireless-old.tar.bz2 from date 1. oct 2008.

Forgot to mention that I wasn't using NetworkManager and used only iwconfig,
ifconfig and wpa_supplicant (if needed).

Please try to upgrade the kernel, compat-wireless-old hasn't had a lot
of love lately on 2.6.25.

I hate to ask but are you sure Network Manager and wpa_supplicant were
not running? Did you check ps -ef ? Anyway, yes please upgrade your
kernel. Unless of course you wish to help move compat-wireless-old
move forward and help hack it to work.

So I've tried with 2.6.26.5 kernel but without succes (But as I think about it
now it looks like there aren't some big differences using 2.6.25 and .26
kernel). Can I somehow help to get it working with compat-wireless-old?
