These are only strange error cases, so it's not really
all that important, but the driver really should use
ieee80211_free_tx_skb instead of just dev_kfree_skb.

We discussed the problem in the below link previously[1], Steven
and Thomas suggested to use threaded irq handler, but which
may degrade USB mass storage performance, so we have to
take tasklet now until we rewrite transport part of USB mass storage
driver.
Also the conversion[2] has avoided the tasklet spin lock problem
already.

improvement to manage new NIC.
Is there a way to get all assert code meaning ? It could be really a big big
help for me.

Switching off and ejecting adapter doesn't help: the same error repeated:

But I found that rebooting to Windows makes the adapter working. After
that I rebooted back to Linux and adapter began to work about ~60
secs, but after that the same situation as described above repeated.
Also I noted following: without rebooting to Windows - just after
rebooting Linux - adapter does not work: _only_ after rebooting to
Windows and only now back to Linux. Windows is doing something with
adapter I do not know what, but after that adapter works for about 1
minute and disconnected with logs above.
What can I do now to solve that problem?

* [PATCH] mwifiex: fix IRQ enable/disable

During tear down (e.g. mwifiex_sdio_remove during system suspend),
mwifiex left IRQs enabled for a significant period of time when it was
unable to handle them correctly. This caused interrupt storms and
interfered with the bluetooth interface on the same SDIO card.
Solve this by disabling interrupts at the point when they can no longer
be handled correctly, which is at the start of mwifiex_remove_card().
For cleanliness, we now enable interrupts in the mwifiex_add_card() path,
to be symmetrical with the disabling of interrupts. We also couple the
registration of the sdio IRQ handler with the actual enable/disable of
interrupts at the hardware level.
I also removed a write to this register in mwifiex_init_sdio which seemed
pointless and won't cause any ill effects now that we only register
the SDIO IRQ handler when we are ready to accept interrupts.
Includes some corrections from Amitkumar Karwar.

If this is Debian or Ubuntu, this is not a vanilla but distro-patched
kernel-version.
Can you provide more infos?
Your kernel-config file, dmesg output, name of loaded firmware file, etc.
Did you check for newer firmware files (see [1])?
Did you try a higher kernel-release?

Hello,
Im trying to adapt current freebsd driver for supporting my 2230 NIC.
I try to follow ucode command order defined in kernel 3.2 but I reach some
difficulties because firmware raise error.
Runtime uCode is alive. So far I sent calib result (cmd xB0), configured
advanced BT coexistence (cmd x9B,xCC and xCD) running runtime calib (cmd

* [PATCH V2] rtlwifi: Fix build errors for unusual cases

The present build configuration for the rtlwifi family of drivers will
fail under two known conditions:
(1) If rtlwifi is selected without selecting any of the dependent drivers,
there are errors in the build.
(2) If the PCI drivers are built into the kernel and the USB drivers are modules,
or vice versa, there are missing globals.
The first condition is fixed by never building rtlwifi unless at least one
of the device drivers is selected. The second failure is fixed by splitting
the PCI and USB codes out of rtlwifi, and creating their own mini drivers.
If the drivers that use them are modules, they will also be modules.
Although a number of files are touched by this patch, only Makefile and Kconfig
have undergone significant changes. The only modifications to the other files
were to export entry points needed by the new rtl_pci and rtl_usb units, or to
rename two variables that had names that were likely to cause namespace collisions.

Is that build on the <sys/sdt.h> ust probe points as embedded in glibc
for example that gdb and systemtap use to access user space trace
points? Can tools use lttng-ust and <sys/sdt.h> tracepoints
interchangeably by parsing the ELF notes described in
http://sourceware.org/systemtap/wiki/UserSpaceProbeImplementation

For ath6kl I started writing (but did not finish yet) a simple python
plugin for trace-cmd. I really like the idea of implementing of
implementing the parser with python, it's so much faster and more
convenient. I haven't published the plugin yet so that's not going to
help you right now.
But trace-cmd documentation about python plugins should give some ideas
how to use python:
