I'm happy with the 3.0 series. Right now I'm still mostly running
3.0.4, and I had no trouble at all (machines from 30 to 120 TB mostly).
2.6.28 never cut it for me, went from 2.6.35 to 3.0. Right now 3.1
seems OK but it's certainly a bit too fresh.
