Any reason these default to 'no'??

  --enable-readline=yes/no Enable readline command editing default=no
  --enable-editline=yes/no Enable editline command editing default=no
  --enable-termcap=yes/no Enable terminal capabilities library default=no

some distros ... *no comment*
