hi,

    i'm using a montavista kernel 2.4.20. We program a dsp device driver
which uses idma. Fec uses dma. Sympthoms are next:

system work perfect while device dma driver isn't active.
when active device, starts idma, and system hang

i think problem is fec sdma and idma working simultaneously. Exists any
problem if sdma and idma are working together?

Could you be a tad more precise, which DSP and what revision? Since I
know Prodys is working with TI DSPs, you might want to look into the
silicon bug lists. With certain TI DSP, you will not be able to use DMA
initiated by the PPC.

hi,

    i'm looking for idma on mpc8xx. I found it on 8260, but not on mpc8xx.
Can i use 8260 idma over a 8xx?
