OF booting question...

OF booting question...

First, i've got a PowerBook G3 wallstreet machine (233mhz), with
apple's OF patches installed by System Disk v2.3.1.

I'm trying to boot with OF, and have encountered some interesting
problems... such as quick 2.0 doesn't seem to work, and always fails
with a default catch, exactly as described in this previous mail to
linuxppc-dev:

Read the followups...this is exactly is what is happening to me.

Because of a tip from another user, I tried quik 1.3.1, which works
for me, except for the fact that I can't use the video=atyfb
option... I always get a screen "melting" away effect, that results in
a white screen with green vertical bars.

So, two questions:
1. What's wrong with quick 2.0? (or my setup :)
2. How can I get atyfb working?
