Never tried, never will.
The FADS860 is one of the boards wich are supported by PPCBoot. If
you're looking for a powerful and convenient way to run Linux on you
board you should give it a try.
The PPCBoot project page is at http://ppcboot.sourceforge.net/ where
you can also find the CVS server with the latest source versions, a
user's mailing list is at <ppcboot-users@lists.sourceforge.net> , and
if you're looking for tarballs you can find them in
ftp://ftp.denx.de/pub/ppcboot/
