Hello,

I am a new person in ppc domain and yet not subscribed to this
list hence pls. cc me a copy.

can any body tell what does the following message during boot time
mean..

Freeing initrd memory: 0k freed

and subsequently i get

Kernel panic: VFS: unable to mount rootfs on 01:00

but before all this i get all normal meassages like

RAMDISK: compressed image found at block zero
gunzip : orig CRC: 75660aac computed CRC: 75660aac
gunzip : orig len: 524288   computed len: 524288
