Cool. I wasn't really thinking of 32 <-> 64 merging when I did the patches,
but it's good to be heading in the right direction.

I don't know the ppc32 code (guess I'll need to soon), so I can't comment on
specifics, but it sounds like a "Good Idea" to me.
