Subject: kernel 2.2.10 & ac-pathces?
Date: Thu, 22 Jul 1999 10:55:38 +0200 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <3796DC8A.817D0E98@pop.agri.ch> (raw)
Hi,
I have an old MO drive which wasn't (isn't) supported by the actual
kernel 2.2.10. After some searches on this topic I got an answer from a
italian guy which mentioned to have similar problems. He suggested to me
that I need at least Alan Cox patches >=2.2.10.ac5. There the problem
should be solved.
Now I have access to these patches but I don't know if it is or how it
is possible to apply them to a cvs'ed kernel from
http://cvs.on.openprojects.net/?
Can I simply patch them against the kernel sources or are there unkown
(to me) troubles awating me?
Thanks for any hint
Andreas
