Oops, my PAGE fault. It should be
[a & PAGE_MASK, (a + off + ~PAGE_MASK) & PAGE_MASK )
to
[b & PAGE_MASK, (b + off + ~PAGE_MASK) & PAGE_MASK )
where PAGE_MASK == ~(PAGE_SIZE -1).
