Hi All,
I thought I would just drop a friendly reminder that the PowerPC Linux
project on sourceforge.net is alive and active.
What is it?
It's a place to track bugs, patches, etc etc etc. It's not a
replacement for bitkeeper nor is it a replacement for this list. If you
find a new bug or have a new patch it'd be great if you could put it in
there.
Clearly if this isn't a good thing for the community then I certainly
deserve your flames and this project should be deleted... but please
give it a try before you pass judgement.

BTW have you set things up so that new bugs, patches etc. get automatically
announced on this list? That would be pretty handy IMHO, saving people from
having to check the site regularly.

Hi Michel,
Sounds like either a really good idea or pure evil. I just setup a
procmail script so in theory when bugs are created or updated they will
be posted here... stress in theory.
FLAME ME IF THIS IS PURELY STUPID.

It's not purely stupid, it just might be an idea to put it on a seperate
list. I imagine some people might find automated bug spammy and annoying,
while other people obviously want to see them all delivered straight to
their mailbox as they're submitted.
It should be the best of both worlds that way, so long as you make sure
that everyone who would want to be on it knows it exists, and that everyone
who is on it knows to CC discussions of the bugs to the appropriate
existing list so people who don't want to see every last bug report, but do
want to be involved in any discussion generated from those bugs can keep up
with the threads.
Or maybe I'm just smoking too much crack. I dunno.

Good idea, why not set up a list at SourceForge?

Hi Michel,
Only problem with that idea is then the mail archives for PowerPC
would become disjoint.
Dave Wolfe the owner for lists.linuxppc.org did offer to create a
seperate list for bug notification and so on. If this list turns into
nothing but a dumping ground of bug spam then I would certainly advocate
let's get a new list, however bug reports seem to be filed rather slowly
so at this point I'd say let's not create a new list for now.
