The following URLs don't seem to exist anymore.

ftp://linuxppc.cs.nmt.edu/pub/linuxppc/embedded
I haven't played with embedded linux for sometime now but am lucky
enough to be starting a project that will use linux on an 8260
processor. Where can I get kernel source with drivers for this
processor ? Are they integrated into the main kernel source or is it
seperated ?
What about support for the 860 ? Is the 860 code integrated to the main
kernel ?
Is there a CVS repository for Linux kernels with embedded procoessor
support ?

Good....that stuff was pretty old.

The 8xx and 8260 (among lots of others) are a standard part of the
sources at kernel.org.

The bleeding edge stuff is on fsmlabs.com, in BitKeeper.

Except for some MontaVista changes that hasn't gone in yet, such as
the Sandpoint support.
Are there any plans to converge all these repositories so that there's
*one* place for LinuxPPC kernels, instead of three?

That is one example, but there are changes from lots of people that
haven't gone into well known source trees. You can pick these up from
the address published by the authors.

Oh yeah. Lots of plans, no consensus. Part of the problem today
is we didn't stabilize 2.4 quickly and cut a 2.5 tree so people wouldn't
have to wait to check them in to a single tree.

Does this include support for *all* the embedded boards ?
It's generally easier to modify a board that is similar to ours, then try to
do the whole thing from scratch (and usually in a different way). I'll check
out fsmlabs.com. Thanks.
Last time I looked at this stuff (linux-2.2.13 I think) there was only support
for the MBX board in the official linux kernels.
The other embedded boards (BSEIP, RPX, etc) were maintained elsewhere. I'm
not even sure if they were available via CVS but they were via tar.gz files on
ftp://linuxppc.cs.nmt.edu/pub/linuxppc/embedded
