I remember that in the meantime, thanks anyway.

Hi,
I too have built the latest KDE packages and Konqueror is greatly improved
in stability over previous versions and able to render just about
everything well.
It is supposed to handle Netscape plugins, so I threw in the RealAudio
plugin and it recognized it but seg-faulted when used (this could be Real
Audio's fault too).
It even supports Java quite well. It will interface with the Blackdown JDK
1.3 (just add the proper jdk path before lausnching Konqueror) and works on
everything except applets with the "archive=" tag (and yes I filed a bug
report with the KDE team but never heard a thing).
It is really quite impressive!

Anyone get glaeon to run properly? I get segfaults when it tries to
initialize the mozilla rendering engine.
I'm using the mozilla debian package from woody, version M17.
Thanks,
Josh

Do you get Mozilla running in the first place? It always segfaults on me.

Hi,
I do nightly mozilla builds once or twice a month and have had no problems
with seg-faults.
I have also build galeon awhile back and it seemed to work (but I did not
test it much).
I think there are pre-compiled version of galeon on the linuxppc inc site
in their contributed archive.
As for mozilla, try the nightly source trees and not M17. There were two
patches I submitted to fix problems with netscape threads and passing
non-promoted types via va_arg that have recently been included (finally!)
into the mozilla source tree and are now in nightly builds.

Yeah, mozilla is working great for me. What version are you trying?
The package version i'm using is M17-3.

Ok, but this doesn't help me. Mozilla is actually working great for
me, apart from not supporting SSL. I'd like to try galeon, because of
the much smaller and faster UI. Mozilla's UI is a little bloated, to
say the least.
