Actually, IBM and Motorola specs say the G3 has an operating temperature
of up to 105C!

(Quite different from Intel's stuff, isn't it? ;^)
Before I read that, I used to worry myself when the heat-conducting plate
above the cpu was hot to the touch when opening the keyboard (which
probably means about 60C). As it is, you'll probably have to worry more
about the harddisk and other components.
Still, looking forward for a temperature monitor in pmud :-)

Thanks for your efforts,
								Derek

G4s come in a variety of temperature specs, and many of them are only
rated up to 65C. You'll have to read the markings on the package to work
it out.

There are multiple temperature grades. Desktops usually use parts
rated for 65 C, maybe 85 if you're lucky. Apple's early Wall Street
G3 laptops used 105 C parts (and needed it), later ones with better
cooling may have 85 C.
