Thanks for the SPI driver help,  I've started porting Alex's code (based off
Navin's) to the 8260.
 Would either of you mind if I made a quick SPI webpage and posted your
drivers there? To help those in the future who will have this problem and
need to find spi stuff not in the kernel.

The people on this list rock!
