I used the file system image (based on the initrd ram disk image), dtb file(generated by the dtc compiler for our mpc832x_rdb.dts) and the kernel powepc compiled. Iam facing a hang up in the booting in the call inflate_dynamic() from the gunzip() function. Initially I suspected it could be RAM issues, and I performed the simple RAM test (mtest) from the bootloader and it went through succesfully.
