The 8272 (and presumably other PCI PQ2 chips) appear to have the
same issue as the 83xx regarding PCI streaming DMA.

m82xx_calibrate_decr(), mpc82xx_ads_show_cpuinfo(), and mpc82xx_halt() do
anything useful beyond what the generic code does.

This is just a rename patch; internal references to mpc82xx_ads will be
changed in the next one.

1. PCI and reset are factored out into pq2.c. I renamed them from m82xx
to pq2 because they won't work on the Integrated Host Processor line of
82xx chips (i.e. 8240, 8245, and such).

2. The PCI PIC, which is nominally board-specific, is used on multiple
boards, and thus is used into pq2ads-pci-pic.c.

3. The new CPM binding is used.

4. General cleanup.

This does not look like a legitimate use of __force. I think it's better
to leave the warning in place for cases like this, so that someone else
can clean up the remaining users of this.

In this particular case, it seems that the function should either
be removed or changed to return an __iomem pointer so you get the
warning in the mac-fcc driver using it.

The rest of your patch looks great.

Yeah, there's a fair amount of crud in the CPM API...

I wanted to avoid changing it until arch/ppc is gone (or at least until
CPM platforms are officially no longer supported in it) so I don't have
to worry about breaking it. I'm OK with leaving the warning there as a
reminder.

It was against head-of-your-tree as of the time I sent it.

What was this patch against?

I ended up applying it by hand for 2.6.23 since its fixing a bug..
But, I'm wondering if there was a base set of changes this patchset
was against?

Odd, my top of tree doesn't use out_be32() for cpm_setbrg().

That was done by patch 01/10. :-)

We need to document this in booting-without-of.

this should also have a "fsl,cpm2-pic" or something of that form.
(exact same pic exists on 8560, 85xx+CPM)

OK.

OK... I did it as pq2 rather than cpm2 because IIRC it wasn't described
under the CPM section of the manual, so I didn't know if 85xx CPM2 had
the same thing.

cool. Want to make sure we can encompass the 83xx/85xx/86xx local
bus in there.

No problem. The cpm2_* code in the kernel is used on 85xx's that
have a CPM and I don't think we have that much ifdef for 85xx
specific CPM foo. Only thing I can think of is this bit in cpm2.h:

#if defined(CONFIG_8272) || defined(CONFIG_MPC8555)
#define CPM_DATAONLY_SIZE       ((uint)(8 * 1024) - CPM_DATAONLY_BASE)
#define CPM_FCC_SPECIAL_BASE    ((uint)0x00009000)
#else

CPM_FCC_SPECIAL_BASE doesn't appear to be used anywhere in arch/powerpc.
CPM_DATAONLY_SIZE shouldn't be used anymore after this patchset.
